Overview
Climate change is a global phenomenon that is having a significant effect on the environment and ecosystems around the world. Ecological impacts are increasingly being studied as the Earth's climate changes, with a focus on understanding how these changes may significantly alter the way that different species interact with one another and their environment. As climate change continues, the resulting shifting of habitats and resources may lead to a decrease in some species, as well as an increase in other species. Additionally, the altered climate may lead to a decrease in agricultural productivity, species migration, increased risks of wildfires and flooding, and other environmental effects. It is essential to understand the full scope of the ecological impact of climate change in order to ensure the protection of threatened species and maintain the health of our planet’s ecosystems.
