Overview

Biomass and plant biofuels are renewable energy sources derived from plants and plant-based materials. They are sustainable, and produce lower emissions than fossil fuels, making them more environmentally friendly. Biomass can be used to generate electricity, while biofuels can be used as fuel for motor vehicles. The use of these sources of energy is also beneficial in helping reduce global warming and climate change. Biomass and plant biofuels are becoming increasingly popular, especially in countries that are striving to become more energy efficient, and to reduce their dependence on fossil fuels.
