Polypeptide

A polypeptide is a molecule consisting of a chain of amino acids linked together by peptide bonds. They are the building blocks of proteins, which are essential for life, and are found in a wide variety of organisms. Polypeptides are important in many physiological processes, including regulation of cell function, metabolism, and inflammation. Polypeptides also have applications in medicine, such as in vaccines and diagnostic tests. Furthermore, polypeptides are becoming increasingly important in the development of new materials for industrial applications.
