Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4
Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 is a small chain of five amino acids linked together with a fatty acid (palmitic acid) at one end. It is a signal molecule that sends a message to the skin to increase collagen and elastin production, resulting in an improvement in skin elasticity and firmness. This peptide also stimulates the production of hyaluronic acid in the skin for greater hydration, and can help to reduce the appearance of wrinkles, fine lines and age spots. Palmitoyl Pentapeptide-4 can be used in both topical and oral forms for improved skin health and appearance, and has been increasingly studied and used for skin care purposes in recent years.
