Dipeptide
Dipeptides are molecules composed of two amino acids joined by a peptide bond. They are important for a variety of biological functions, including digestion, energy metabolism, tissue repair, and the functioning of hormones. Dipeptides are small molecules, making them easily absorbed and distributed throughout the body. They are essential to protein synthesis, as they provide the building blocks required to create proteins. Additionally, they can play a role in inflammation, immune response, and neurological processes. Dipeptides are used in numerous pharmaceutical and food applications, where they are used as flavoring agents and to enhance the bioavailability of certain compounds.
