Sleep and Children
Sleep is essential for children's physical, mental, and emotional development. Lack of quality sleep can lead to health problems such as obesity, diabetes, and depression. Children need sufficient sleep to learn and grow, so making sure they get enough sleep is important. Children should try to get approximately 9-11 hours of sleep per night, depending on their age. Establishing good sleeping habits (such as avoiding caffeine, establishing a bedtime routine, and avoiding screens) can help improve sleep quality and duration.
