Iron Deficiency Anemia
Iron deficiency anemia is a condition in which a person's body lacks enough iron to produce healthy red blood cells. It is the most common form of anemia and is caused by not having enough iron in the diet, or by losing too much blood. Symptoms include fatigue, weakness, pale skin, shortness of breath, and headaches. Iron deficiency anemia can be treated through dietary or supplemental intake of iron, as well as by taking products that increase iron absorption in the body. It is important to treat iron deficiency anemia, as it can lead to an increased risk of developing infections and other serious health complications.
