Hydrocele

A hydrocele is a benign fluid-filled swelling that occurs in the scrotum of males. It is caused by a build-up of fluid in a sac that surrounds the testicle. Hydroceles are typically painless and are not a serious condition, although they can sometimes lead to discomfort. Most cases of hydrocele can be treated with a minor procedure, making it an important condition to identify and monitor closely. Hydroceles can be the result of infection, trauma, or other causes, and can occur in men of any age.
