Overview

Child mental health refers to how well children are able to cope with and manage the range of physical, social, emotional, and academic challenges they encounter throughout their development. It is a critical component of overall health, playing a significant role in their capacity to learn, grow, and maintain relationships with others. Evidence shows that providing resources to support a child’s mental health can improve their physical, behavioural, and social well-being. It can also improve their academic performance, concentration, and self-esteem. This means that investing in child mental health services is essential to ensure that children can reach their full potential and lead healthy, productive lives.
