Children's Health
Children's health is a field of medicine that focuses on the physical, mental and emotional well-being of infants, toddlers, children and adolescents. It examines the whole child and not just specific parts, thereby ensuring a holistic approach to health. It also takes into consideration total family health and the environment in which the child lives. Children's health is important for the development of healthy people and productive societies, and its importance lies in the prevention and management of illnesses, as well as in providing an environment in which children can develop and thrive. The focus on children's health includes preventive care and health promotion, early detection and diagnosis of diseases, treatment and management of chronic conditions, and disease prevention. Children's health professionals play an essential role in protecting the health of children and improving the quality of life, through the provision of preventative care, diagnosis and treatment of illnesses, and the development of health promotion and education programs.
