Ancylostomatidae
Ancylostomatidae are parasitic nematodes, also known as hookworms, found in the intestines of mammals, including humans. These parasites attach to the lining of the small intestine and feed on blood, causing anemia. Treatment of hookworm infection involves anti-parasitic medications and measures to improve the nutrition and hygiene of affected individuals. Ancylostomatidae can also cause zoonotic infections, which pose a significant health risk to both animals and humans. Improved understanding of this parasite and its impact on public health is critical for effective control and prevention.
