Thyroid Cancer
Thyroid cancer is a malignant tumor of the cells of the thyroid gland, located in the neck. It is the most common type of endocrine cancer and can be very serious if not treated early and appropriately. Symptoms of thyroid cancer include a lump or swelling in the neck, difficulty swallowing, and hoarse voice. Early detection, diagnosis, and treatment are essential for the best outcome in the long-term. Treatment options include surgery, radiation, and hormone therapy. In some cases, a combination of treatments may be used. With effective treatment, thyroid cancer can be managed.
