Thyroid
The thyroid is a gland located in the neck, just below the Adam's apple, that produces hormones to control metabolism. It is an essential part of the endocrine system, responsible for regulating energy and growth. Thyroid hormones play a major role in regulating body temperature, heart rate, and other metabolic processes, including weight management and energy production. An underactive or overactive thyroid can cause a variety of symptoms, including fatigue, weight gain or loss, and difficulty regulating body temperature. With regular thyroid testing, it is possible to diagnose and treat thyroid disorders, helping to restore balance and improve overall health.
