Speech Therapy
Speech therapy, also known as speech-language pathology, is a healthcare process that helps patients improve their communication skills. Speech therapy is beneficial for people of all ages who suffer from problems with their speech, language, and/or swallowing. The goal of speech therapy is to help patients express themselves more effectively and improve their ability to communicate and interact socially. Speech therapy can be used to address language-based impairments such as stuttering, voice disorders, and receptive and expressive language delays. Additionally, speech therapy can help those with autism, apraxia, and dysphagia. Speech therapy is an important tool to help patients improve social skills, develop their self-confidence, and engage more meaningfully in their surroundings.
