Nasal Concha

Nasal concha, also known as turbinate, are curved bones found in the nasal cavity that serve to humidify, filter, and warm the air we breathe in. They are important in maintaining the health of the respiratory system and reducing the risk of infection. Nasal concha also help to provide us with an increased sense of smell as they act as a scent trap, trapping and collecting molecules that cause odours. Additionally, they are also responsible for controlling the amount of air that enters the nostrils and for helping to ensure balanced air pressure in the sinuses.
