Overview

Surgery Transplantation is a medical procedure wherein a damaged or sick organ is replaced with a healthy organ from a donor. This procedure is performed to treat medical conditions that cannot be cured by more conventional treatments and to prevent fatality from irreversible organ failure. Surgery Transplantation has successfully saved millions of lives and has made it possible for patients to live a normal life. It is a highly complex procedure which requires great precision, immense technical skill and proficiency in several medical disciplines. It is not only highly beneficial for the patient but also for the donor, as the donor’s family can take comfort in knowing that their loved one’s organs were able to help save another person’s life.
