Overview

Organ transplantation surgery is a medical procedure in which a damaged or missing organ is replaced by a donor organ from a living or deceased donor. It is a life-saving procedure for patients suffering from a variety of diseases, including end-stage liver and kidney failure, as well as lasting damage to the heart and lungs. The surgery has the potential to extend and improve the quality of life of patients, and it is critical to organ donation programs as they provide organs to those in need. Transplantation surgery is also significant in terms of research, as it helps to develop new techniques and drugs to improve outcomes and reduce the risk of organ rejection.
