Obese

Asthma Obese asthma is a type of asthma that affects people who are overweight or obese. It is more common than regular asthma and is associated with poorer control of asthma symptoms, greater airway inflammation, and a higher risk of asthma-related hospitalizations and emergency department visits. Effective management of obese asthma requires an integrated approach that incorporates both asthma and weight management strategies. This includes lifestyle modifications such as eating a healthy diet and regular physical activity, as well as medications such as bronchodilators and inhaled steroids. With appropriate treatment, obese asthmatics can achieve better quality of life and improved control of their asthma symptoms.
