Overview

Benzaldehydes are organic compounds that belong to the class of aldehydes. These compounds have a characteristic aroma of bitter almonds and are widely used in the production of fragrances, dyes, and plasticizers. Benzaldehydes are considered important intermediates in the synthesis of a variety of pharmaceutical and agrochemical compounds. Recent developments in the chemistry of Benzaldehydes have led to the discovery of new and highly efficient methods for their synthesis.
