Overview

Neuro therapy refers to the treatment of disorders of the nervous system, encompassing the range of interventions used to manage conditions affecting the brain, spinal cord, and peripheral nerves. The nervous system coordinates movement, sensation, cognition, and the regulation of body functions, and its disorders include stroke, neurodegenerative and neurodevelopmental conditions, inflammatory disease, and nerve injury. Neuro therapy spans pharmacological treatment, neuroprotective and rehabilitative approaches, and increasingly targeted strategies informed by understanding of the underlying disease. Research in Neurological Research and Therapy reflects this therapeutic focus. One review examines the use of Cerebrolysin, a neurotrophic agent, in pediatric Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease, addressing treatment of an inherited peripheral neuropathy. Other work evaluates a stroke protocol using computed tomography angiography to guide the assessment of acute ischemic stroke patients, illustrating how diagnostic approaches support timely neurological care, and a case study describes treatment of a central nervous system lesion in Behcet's disease. Together these contributions span pharmacological, diagnostic, and case-based aspects of neurological treatment. This page gathers peer-reviewed, open-access research relevant to neuro therapy, supporting clinicians, researchers, and students concerned with the treatment of nervous system disorders.
