Overview

Renal Osteodystrophy and Hypertension are two common and serious medical conditions that can often go hand-in-hand. Renal Osteodystrophy is a calcium, phosphate, and Vitamin D imbalance that occurs in people with kidney disease, while Hypertension is high blood pressure. These two conditions are interrelated as having kidney disease can cause the body to retain more sodium and water, leading to an increase in blood pressure. The combination of the two conditions can lead to further complications, including heart attack and stroke. Treatment is important in order to manage the progression of both conditions and includes lifestyle modifications, medical interventions, and medications.
