Non-Small Cell Lung Cancer
Non-small cell lung cancer (NSCLC) is the most common type of lung cancer, accounting for approximately 80-85% of all cases. It is a malignant tumor of the lungs that develops in the epithelial tissue of the lung and can spread to other parts of the body. Symptoms of NSCLC may include difficulty breathing, chest pain, coughing up blood, weight loss, and fatigue. Treatment depends on the extent of the disease, but may include surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, and targeted therapy. Early detection and management of NSCLC is important as it can significantly improve survival outcomes.
