Symbiosis

Symbiosis is the close and long-term relationship between two different species. Examples of symbiosis range from beneficial arrangements, such as the exchange of nutrients and protection from predators, to more complex relationships, such as when one organism lives inside another. Symbiosis is widespread in nature and is an important factor in the evolution of many species. It also has many practical uses for humans, including bioremediation and the production of food and medicinal products.
