Science Policy

Science policy deals with a range of activities related to the development, implementation, and evaluation of policies that relate to science and our scientific knowledge base. It covers an expanding range of scientific and technical topics, including the development of new technologies and products, environmental regulation, and research on public health and safety. Science policy also includes decisions about how science is used to develop educational curricula, set research agendas, and fund scientific research. This work is important in order to ensure that scientific research and its results are used to achieve public policy goals related to public health, economic growth, sustainability, and global security.
