Overview
Quality of care refers to the standard of health care services provided to patients. It is a measure of the extent to which patients receive services that are safe, effective, and appropriate for their particular set of needs. Quality of care is important for ensuring that patients receive the best possible health care and for improving outcomes. The quality of care can be improved through better communication between health care providers and patients, increased patient involvement in decision making, and closer monitoring of patient outcomes. Quality of care also encompasses many aspects including access to care, patient safety, patient satisfaction, and medical errors. Quality of care can have a significant impact on patient health and quality of life, and it is important for healthcare providers to provide the highest quality of care possible.
