Instrumentation
Amplifier An instrumentation amplifier (IA) is an electronic device used to amplify and measure small electrical signals. Unlike a standard operational amplifier, an IA is designed to accept an input signal from sensors and produce an output signal that can be further analysed by signal processing systems. Its combination of high precision, low power consumption and wide range of signal processing capabilities make it an essential component in a huge variety of measurement and monitoring systems, such as medical equipment, data acquisition systems and industrial process control. The IA has become an indispensable tool for providing precision measurements and reliable results for data-driven decisions.
