Cosine Similarity

Cosine similarity is a measure of similarity between two vectors that can range from -1 to 1. Vectors are mathematical objects representing directional relationships between numbers. It is commonly used in natural language processing and information retrieval applications. Cosine similarity is often used to measure the similarity between different documents, words, or phrases to determine if they have a similar meaning. It is also used to identify similar users in online services, and to measure the similarity of items in recommendation systems. By quantifying the similarity between two vectors, cosine similarity enables computer applications to better understand the meaning and context of given data. It has become a powerful tool used in many areas of machine learning and artificial intelligence.
