Overview

Achievement tests are assessments used to measure a student's knowledge, skills and abilities against a predetermined set of standardized criteria. These tests are important to educational institutions and employers, as they provide an objective measure of a student's academic performance. Achievement tests are also used to measure how well a student has learned the material presented in the classroom, and to identify areas where the student may need additional help. They also help inform decisions about which students should be placed in higher or lower level classes, and provide an indication of a student's future potential.
