Overview

Medical artificial intelligence (AI) is an area of computer science that aims to create intelligent computer systems that can assist medical professionals in making accurate and informed diagnoses. AI-based systems use data about a patient’s medical history, symptoms and other pertinent information to support physicians in making decisions about treatment. AI technology can also help with the identification of disease-causing trends and patterns, the generation of personalized therapies and even the automation of certain medical procedures. Furthermore, AI-assisted technologies can help quickly and accurately identify and diagnose diseases or conditions, which can increase the quality and timeliness of patient care while reducing medical costs.
