Uric Acid
Uric acid is a metabolic waste product formed from the breakdown of cells and other organic matter in the body. It is mainly removed from the body through urine, but is also present in sweat and other bodily fluids. Too much uric acid in the bloodstream can lead to gout, kidney stones, and other health problems. Uric acid can be used to diagnose conditions such as gout, kidney disease, and advanced stages of diabetes. It can also be used to monitor the effectiveness of treatment for conditions such as high cholesterol and kidney disease. Uric acid testing is important to assess the overall health of a person.
