Geriatric Urology
Geriatric urology is an area of medical practice that focuses on the diagnosis and treatment of urological conditions in older adult patients. It is an important component of the overall care of elderly individuals, since many of the common health problems in this population are related to urological issues such as incontinence, overactive bladder, benign prostatic hyperplasia, and urinary tract infections. Geriatric urologists are trained to appropriately assess and diagnose these conditions, and to provide safe and effective treatments tailored to the needs of elderly individuals. The goal is to improve quality of life and reduce the risk of associated complications.
