Trauma Care Neonatal Trauma
Neonatal Trauma refers to physical and emotional injury sustained by newborn babies. It can occur during labor and delivery or shortly after birth and includes birth injuries, medical malpractice, and post-delivery infections. This type of trauma is a major cause of infant mortality and has serious, lifelong consequences on the health and development of survivors. The right trauma care, however, can greatly reduce mortality and improve outcomes. Early diagnosis and comprehensive treatment is essential, including monitoring, physical care, and psychological support. With proper neonatal trauma care, many babies are able to go on to live healthy and fulfilling lives.
