Psychological Trauma
Psychological trauma is an emotional response to a deeply distressing or disturbing event, such as an accident, injury, or violent attack. It can cause intense feelings of fear, helplessness, and distress, often leading to long-term psychological issues like depression, anxiety, and even post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). Trauma can also affect physical health and increase the risk of chronic conditions. It is important to recognize and address the symptoms of trauma in order to improve mental and physical health and quality of life. Recovery strategies may include cognitive-behavioral therapy, medications, and support groups.
