Salpingectomy
Salpingectomy is a medical procedure that involves the surgical removal of Fallopian tubes. It is a form of contraception usually employed in cases where pregnancy is contraindicated or the risk of ectopic pregnancy is high. The procedure also has utility in treating certain types of ovarian cancer, non-cancerous diseases of the Fallopian tubes, and in managing chronic pelvic pain and ectopic pregnancies.
