The International Journal of Personalized Medicine (IJPM) is a peer-reviewed, open-access journal published by Open Access Pub. It is a clinical personalized-medicine journal that also includes basic, molecular, biomarker and translational research. Volume 1 was published in 2017.
Purpose and readership
Evidence for individualized care
IJPM serves clinicians, laboratory and translational scientists, and educators who need sound evidence on how care can be tailored to the individual patient.
IJPM is a clinical personalized-medicine journal that also includes basic, molecular, biomarker and translational research. It publishes studies of diagnosis, treatment and patient management that apply personalized approaches, and the laboratory, biomarker and computational work on which those approaches depend.
Its aims are to publish methodologically sound research that informs individualized care, to advance the assays, models and study designs used to stratify patients and predict response, and to make the results freely available to everyone who can use them.
The journal welcomes contributions from clinical medicine, genomics, pharmacology, molecular biology, biostatistics and data science. The Aims and Scope page describes the scope, study designs and eligibility in full.

Editorial responsibility
The Editor-in-Chief leads the journal's editorial direction and oversees its decisions, supported by an international editorial board of researchers and clinicians who handle manuscripts within their expertise and advise on the journal's scope and policies.
Editorial decisions are based on scope, scientific quality, methodological rigor, ethical compliance, reporting quality, and relevance to the journal. They are independent of the article processing charge and of any fee-relief inquiry. Editors with a conflict of interest are recused from handling the manuscript.
Peer review
All submissions undergo initial editorial screening. Manuscripts that meet the journal's scope and minimum requirements proceed to independent peer review. Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts. IJPM is an open-access journal. All articles are freely available on openaccesspub.org from the day of publication, without subscription or registration.
Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International license (CC BY 4.0), which permits anyone to read, download, copy, distribute, adapt and reuse the work for any lawful purpose, provided the authors and the original publication are credited. Authors retain copyright in their work and may deposit any version of their article, including the published version, in institutional or subject repositories without embargo.
Preservation and discovery
A lasting, citable record
IJPM articles will be deposited in Portico, a not-for-profit digital-preservation archive, so that the published record remains available for the long term. Read our preservation policy.
