Aims And Scope

International Journal Of Negative Results is a multidisciplinary Open Access,  peer-reviewed journal that provides a platform for the processing of non-confirmatory, unexpected, controversial, negative, null, or inconclusive findings and provocative results in all areas of science. IJNR publishes all types of articles such as research, review, letters, case reports, short communication, and editorials, within the scope listed below.

IJNR welcomes research contributions from all disciplines that present negative results, with the aim of enhancing the scientific knowledge base and integrity of science.
IJNR seeks to achieve this goal by removing the constraints of publication bias that are inherent in the traditional research literature. By doing so, IJNR serves to encourage scientists to follow the scientific process, promote replication studies and provide an avenue for showcasing failed experiments. The journal also provides an important platform for the global scientific community to discuss the implications of negative studies and suggest reasons which may be behind the failure to replicate or unexpected findings.

In the rapidly changing scientific landscape, IJNR provides an invaluable resource for knowledge-sharing and scientific collaboration. The journal welcomes submissions from authors in the form of research papers, reviews, and opinion pieces. IJNR also actively encourages submissions of data sets and brief research reports, as well as replication studies. The journal has a wide range of topics, which include but are not limited to biomedicine, medicine, chemistry, life sciences, engineering, earth and environment, computation and social sciences, among others.

A study published in the IJNR should clearly identify the experiments performed and the results obtained, including an explanation for any negative findings. IJNR encourages the authors to propose possible explanations of the results and to provide a discussion section on the impact of the results. This approach helps to shape the future direction of research and also decreases the possibility of wasted time, resources, and energy by avoiding the repetition of unsuccessful experiments.

Primarily, the goal is to assist researchers by publishing noteworthy advancements in any discipline of research as soon as possible and to provide an arena for the reporting and debate of scientific-related news and concerns. Furthermore, it guarantees that scientific findings are swiftly distributed to the general public throughout the world in a way that emphasizes their relevance for knowledge, culture, and everyday lives.

In conclusion, the International Journal of Negative Results is an invaluable platform for the global scientific community to share their negative study findings, generate and discuss ideas and breed constructive debates. IJNR seeks to aid in the advancement of science, and challenge the traditional research publication bias by providing a platform to encourage and enable independent replication, improve the quality of research, and enable useful feedback which can lead to improved methodologies and greater advancements.
