What is in place
Identifiers, registration and harvesting
Registration, metadata harvesting, discovery and selective indexing are different things, and a journal can have one without the others. They are kept apart below so that each statement means what it says.
- Journal identifier
- The journal is registered under ISSN 2471-7061. An ISSN identifies a serial; it is a registration, not an index.
- DOI registration
- Articles are registered with Crossref under the publisher prefix 10.14302. As checked on 23 September 2026, Crossref holds 13 registered DOIs for this journal, matching the 13 articles in the published record. DOI registration is a persistent-identifier service, not an index.
- Metadata harvesting
- The publisher exposes an OAI-PMH endpoint, so repositories and aggregators can harvest article metadata. Harvesting makes records available to services that choose to collect them; it does not by itself place the journal in any of them.
- Discovery services

As articles are deposited they enter Portico’s permanent archive, so the scholarly record stays available for the long term — even if a title one day ceases to publish.

What helps an article be found
- Write a title and abstract that name the disease site, the population and the outcome measured.
- Choose keywords a clinician would actually search, including staging and therapy terms.
- Keep author names consistent with the form used on your earlier work.
- Give complete references with DOIs, so citation links resolve.
