Indexing and Discovery
This page describes how articles of the Journal of Carbohydrates are made discoverable, how individual articles can be deposited, and how the published record is preserved.
Article discovery
JCH is open access. Every article page carries bibliographic metadata, so that scholarly search and discovery services can read the article's title, authors, abstract and license. Discovery services build their records from published article metadata, so the articles each service shows follow its own collection schedule.
Listing in a discovery service does not by itself indicate evaluation or selection by that service.
Article deposits
PubMed Central deposits
Eligible NIH-funded manuscripts may be deposited individually in PubMed Central through the NIH Manuscript Submission System (NIHMS).
Individual manuscript deposit does not establish journal-level indexing.
Preservation
JCH articles will be deposited in Portico, a not-for-profit digital-preservation archive run by ITHAKA, so that the published record remains available for the long term. Read our preservation policy.
