The Journal of Carbohydrates welcomes submissions throughout the year from researchers working across carbohydrate chemistry, glycobiology, analytical methods, food and nutrition, and applications.

How to submit
- Primary route: ManuscriptZoneThe publisher's online submission and review system, with tracking from submission to decision. Register or sign in, choose the Journal of Carbohydrates and upload the manuscript files.
- Alternative route: Simple manuscript submission formA single-page form that opens with the Journal of Carbohydrates selected.
- Assisted route: editorial email, [email protected]For authors who are unable to use either online route. Send the manuscript files with a cover letter to the editorial office.
Authors must use only one submission route for the same manuscript.
Review, publication and fees
Single-blind by default; double-blind review is available on request. Manuscripts that proceed to external peer review are normally evaluated by at least two independent subject-matter experts.
Accepted articles are published open access under CC BY 4.0. The article processing charge is USD 1,200, payable only after acceptance; withdrawal after submission is subject to the journal's withdrawal policy.
