Oysters

Oysters are marine invertebrates that play an important role in coastal ecosystems. They are filter-feeders, meaning that they strain microscopic food particles from the water column. Oysters provide ecosystem services such as water filtration, sediment stabilization, and habitat enhancement. They also have a variety of commercial uses, including aquaculture, pearl production, and as a food source. Oysters are widely consumed, and are high in essential nutrients such as protein, vitamin B12, and minerals like zinc, iron, and selenium.
