Ocean Tides

Ocean tides are the regular rise and fall of sea levels caused by the gravitational pull of the Moon and the Sun. They are most commonly seen along coastlines and are an important part of the ocean's circulation system. Tides are vital for the functioning of marine ecosystems and can influence ocean temperatures, salinity, wildlife habitats, and coastal erosion. They can also be used to generate renewable energy, predict tsunami, identify water pollution, and assist navigation and fishing.
