Fish Physiology
Fish physiology is the scientific field of study dedicated to understanding the anatomy, behavior, and physiology of fish. This field of research is important for understanding the adaptive characteristics of fish species which provide them with their remarkable ability to survive in aquatic environments. It is also necessary for understanding how environmental changes can influence fish behavior and survival, as well as improving the management of fisheries resources. Fish physiology also has implications in aquaculture, agriculture, and medicine. For example, it is used to understand how fish can be bred to tolerate environmental stressors and produce high-quality commercial products. In addition, the application of fish physiology to human health has revealed ways to use fish tissue and organs to treat certain diseases and improve health outcomes.
