Estuarine Marine Science

Estuarine marine science involves the study of the estuaries, which are bodies of water where fresh water from rivers meets and mixes with salt water from the ocean. Estuaries are particularly important and diverse ecosystems, offering a wide range of benefits including habitat for many species, water purification, carbon dioxide reduction, coastal protection, and other forms of coastline management. Studying this system helps us understand how these coastal ecosystems work and how they are affected by human activities, climate change, and other environmental factors. Estuarine marine science is an important field of research, providing us with insights into the workings of our planet and helping us to better manage and protect these vital and vulnerable resources.
