Biochemistry
Biochemistry is the study of the chemical processes taking place within and related to living organisms. It covers a broad range of topics, including the synthesis and breakdown of molecules, the regulation of metabolic pathways, and the communication between cells at the molecular level. As such, biochemistry is an essential part of modern biomedical research, providing insights into the functioning of the human body which can be used to develop new treatments for disease or inform new preventative approaches. Biochemistry has a wide range of applications in industry, agriculture, and medicine, including the development of vaccines, drugs, and diagnostic tests. It is also used to improve agricultural yield, develop environmentally friendly processes, and develop new materials and food products.
