Aquaculture

Aquaculture is an important and growing field of agriculture that involves cultivating aquatic species in a controlled environment, such as ponds, tanks, and cages. It provides a reliable and sustainable source of high-quality seafood and other aquatic products such as ornamental fish, seaweed, and other aquatic plants. Aquaculture also provides a variety of environmental and economic benefits such as improving water quality, creating jobs, and providing food security for communities across the world. Additionally, aquaculture can be used to restore damaged habitats and help support diverse species of fish, amphibians, and other aquatic animals.
