Sexual Education
Sexual education is the process of acquiring knowledge, values, and skills related to sexual behavior and sexual health. It is aimed at understanding the complexities of human sexuality and sexual health, as well as reducing associated risks. Sexual education promotes reproductive, mental, physical and social health by increasing the understanding of human sexuality, reproductive rights and responsibilities, gender identity, and healthy sexual behaviors. It also emphasizes the importance of safe and consensual sexual interactions, reducing the risk of harmful and unwanted outcomes such as teenage pregnancy, sexually transmitted infections, and other forms of sexual exploitation. Sexual education is an essential part of public health, as it increases knowledge and understanding, as well as providing resources to empower individuals to make safe, healthy, and informed decisions about sex and relationships.
