Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome
Persistent Sexual Arousal Syndrome (PSAS) is a rare condition in which a person experiences unrelenting, spontaneous and intrusive sexual arousal. It is typically not associated with any feelings of pleasure, and in many cases can cause feelings of distress and anxiety. Treatment is available and can include psychotherapy, medications, and lifestyle changes. PSAS is important to recognize as it can significantly impact a person's quality of life.
