Hiv Epidemiology
HIV epidemiology is the study of the spread and risk factors of HIV, the virus that causes AIDS. It is important in understanding how HIV is transmitted and in devising strategies to reduce its spread in communities. HIV epidemiology also serves as a tool to track the impact of HIV on public health, identify populations at risk, monitor HIV-related outcomes, and evaluate the effectiveness of prevention and treatment interventions. It can also help inform funding allocations for HIV prevention and research.
