Tumor Cell
Tumor cells are abnormal cells that have the potential to divide and spread uncontrollably. They can form into tumors, which can be benign (non-cancerous) or malignant (cancerous). Tumor cells can invade and damage nearby tissues, and can also spread to other parts of the body, a process known as metastasis. The detection, diagnosis and treatment of cancerous tumors are important goals of medical research. Understanding the biology of tumor cells can help in the development of new treatments and therapies for cancer.
