Overview
Back pain is a common problem experienced by over 80% of adults in the U.S. at some point in their lives. It can be caused by a variety of reasons, including poor posture, muscle tension, injury, or degenerative diseases. It is usually localized to the area where the pain is originating, and can range from mild to severe. Treatment of back pain depends on the underlying cause, but can include physical therapy, medications, or surgery. It is important to seek medical attention if back pain persists for more than a few days, as it can be a symptom of a more serious underlying condition. With the proper diagnosis and treatment, back pain can be managed and improved in most cases.
